On April 7th–8th, the University Hospital Schleswig-Holstein (UKSH) held an advanced symposium on inflatable penile prosthesis surgery at the Lübeck campus in Germany. Dr. Osmonov, Professor and Head of the Department of Urology at UKSH, organized the symposium where he invited three international experts, including Dr. Park from South Korea, to speak at the event. In addition, urologists from Germany, neighboring European countries, and the Middle East attended
The symposium aimed to enhance participants’ understanding of inflatable implant surgery through intensive lectures and live surgical demonstrations by each speaker. Dr. Park demonstrated inflatable penile implant surgery via a subcoronal approach on a patient who had previously undergone a radical prostatectomy. He also demonstrated local anesthesia for emergency patient who couldn’t get general anesthesia due to his heart condition. During this visit, Dr. Park discussed further collaboration with Dr. Osmonov for upcoming IPP training events in Asia pacific region
